*The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 provides several energy conservation incentives for homeowners. When taxpayers purchase qualifying replacement windows in 2010, that meet the energy efficiency requirements set forth by the legislation, they are eligible to receive a tax credit of up to 30% of the material cost on qualifying windows and doors. Usually this is about 70% of an installed job that qualifies or 22% of the total price.

 

Manufacturer's Certification Statement and Qualifying Products
For windows and doors to qualify for the current energy tax credit, they must meet a high level of energy efficiency.
